The story of Premloom Envision does not begin in a workshop. It begins at midnight, in a quiet corner of Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. During a long layover, two people sat across from each other. There was no agenda and nothing to rush to, only an honest talk about life.
At Premloom Envision, we believe handcrafted products should carry story, emotion, and purpose, not just beauty. That belief was born that night. What follows is the story of Premloom Envision, and how one conversation changed our direction.
The midnight conversation behind the story of Premloom Envision
Our talk drifted, as it often does, to the bigger picture. Meaning came up. What would it feel like, we wondered, to build something of our own? For years, our best hours had gone into someone else’s dream.
“Enough of working for someone else,” one of us said. The other agreed before the sentence was finished. And in that moment, the seed was planted.
The question that led us home
Choosing to build something meaningful raised a harder question. What, exactly, would we make? Selling just another product held no appeal. Instead, something rooted in India felt right.
So we looked homeward, to the artisans of Rajasthan. Their work is beautiful, yet it often goes unseen and underpaid. Here, at last, was a gap we could close.
The mission became clear
From there, the mission grew simple and firm. Skilled Rajasthani artisans would reach homes that value real craft, with no one in between. As a result, more of every rupee reaches the maker. India’s artisan sector supports millions of families, as the Ministry of Culture notes.
No factories. No middlemen. Just hands, heart, and honest work.
From idea to reality
Building a brand from an idea took patience. Meeting artisans came first, then learning their craft, then earning their trust. Slowly, their pieces went online, each with its own story.
Today that midnight talk lives in every piece we ship. To see where it led, explore our handcrafted collection or read our field guide to the crafts of Rajasthan.
