I have given housewarming gifts to approximately forty families over the past twelve years of my social life. I have an internal rating system for how the gifts land.
The Wooden Corner Stand was a 10/10 across all parameters: immediate visual impact on unwrapping, not-duplicated (the recipients didn’t have anything like it), immediately placed (it was put in a corner within ten minutes of arrival and hasn’t moved since), and referenced by the recipient when I visited three months later.
My own corner stand has a small succulent on the top tier, a Ganesha on the middle tier, and a stack of artbooks on the bottom. It anchors the corner of my living room in a way that no furniture piece has managed.
