, Kavita P., Pune (Product: Mini Motu Figurines)
My husband got the Mini Motu figurines for his work desk. They’ve been there approximately eight months. Our three-year-old son, Aarav, saw them on one of his occasional visits to the home office.
Aarav immediately identified the dholak player as his favourite. He named him Dholu. Dholu now gets a brief greeting every morning when Aarav passes papa’s desk on the way to school. He also gets a goodnight wave.
We bought a second set to keep in Aarav’s room, out of reach but visible from his bed. He falls asleep looking at them. I’ve told him they’re musicians who play music for dreaming. He seems to believe this fully and I see no reason to correct him.
When he’s older, I’ll tell him they came from Rajasthan, that someone made them by hand, that each one took time. I think he’ll still love them.
