We decorated our guest bedroom with three Premloom pieces: the Jharokha frame (with a small mirror inside, mounted on the east wall), the Dancing Ladies wall hanging (three-piece, on the main wall above the bed), and the Peacock Tealight Holder on the bedside table.
Every guest who stays in that room comments on it. Several have photographed it for Instagram. Two have specifically said “this room is the reason I’d come back and visit.”
The three pieces cost us ₹5,747 total. That’s substantially less than a decorative lamp or a piece of Western art that would have had a fraction of the visual impact and none of the story.
The room has a name now among our friends: the Rajasthani Room. Which was never planned but feels completely right.
