About the Craft
Both deer stands are CNC-cut and hand-finished, the antlers and body worked so the form reads clearly from across a room, holding their tealights well above table height. The larger carries more cups than the smaller, so stood together they step the light rather than flatten it. The peacock holder is metalwork of a different kind, hand-painted in Rajasthani folk colour with cutwork fine enough that a single flame throws patterned shadow onto the wall behind it. Two pieces carry the height, the third carries the detail.
Vastu Tip
Light represents agni, the fire element. The southeast corner of a room is its traditional home, and a lit arrangement placed there at Diwali is believed to draw prosperity into the year ahead.
