Bholu

Description

Some figurines tell a story just by the way they sit. Bholu is one of those, a round, cheerful folk figure handcrafted by Rajasthan artisans with the warmth and good-natured character that is a hallmark of Rajasthani folk art. This bholu musician figurine set is made by hand in Rajasthan for Premloom Envision.

The name ‘Bholu’ in Hindi connotes someone simple, gentle, and entirely without pretence, and the figurine embodies that spirit. The form is handcrafted and hand-painted with the folk-art detail and colour sensibility that makes Rajasthan’s artisan work immediately recognisable.

Bholu works on a bookshelf, a side table, or a child’s room as a piece of joyful folk art. It makes an excellent gifting piece for occasions where you want something warm and personal rather than conventional.

Each Bholu is individually made, expressions and painting vary slightly, as they always do with true handcrafted.

Why Premloom Envision?

You will find similar-looking decor in many online stores. Here is the difference: every Premloom wood and metal piece is made by a named artisan family in Rajasthan. No factories, no resellers, no mass production. When you order, a real craftsperson goes to work. The slight variation in colour, line or finish is not a defect. It is the signature of handmade work. Your piece will never be identical to anyone else’s. That is what you are paying for.

The heritage you are gifting

This piece is handmade and hand-finished by the artisan families we work with. We are a curator of artisan-made décor, not a factory, so each one carries the small variations that come from real craft, made to be displayed and kept rather than mass-produced and forgotten.
