A leaf holds the memory of a tree, its veins mapping every year of growth. This hand-carved leaf tealight holder adds another layer: a Ganesh silhouette carved at its heart, so that when a tealight glows inside, the deity appears in warm light against the wood grain.
The leaf form is Udaipur’s carvers at their most poetic. Babla wood is shaped into a broad, veined leaf, hollow at the centre to cradle the flame, with Ganesh emerging as the light source rather than the decoration. It changes the character of a shelf, an altar, or a windowsill.
